Eligibility and availability of funding is determined on a scheme-by-scheme basis and in accordance with the scheme's eligibility criteria and terms and conditions. Malta Paralympic Committee cannot guarantee that all applicants will be successful or that currently available schemes will be available in the future.
Paralympic Sport and Para Sport Equipment Scheme 2024
Scheme opened on 15 July 2024 at 09:00 CET.
Malta Paralympic Committee (MPC) and Sport Malta (SM) are pleased to announce that applications under the Paralympic Sport and Para Sport Equipment Scheme 2024 are now open. This scheme is open to Para Athletes (persons with eligible physical, visual and/or hearing impairments) and Sports Clubs offering training to Para Athletes. How to apply?
Applications may be submitted in two ways:

Application timeline and key dates
Late applications will not be accepted. In case of any queries, applicants are encouraged to get in touch with Malta Paralympic Committee as soon as possible and, in any case, in advance of the application closing date.
The Paralympic Sport and Para Sport Equipment Scheme is a collaboration between Malta Paralympic Committee and Sport Malta, and was launched in July 2024 as part of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games activation and legacy programme.
International Participation Scheme - Competitions & Training Camps
Athletes, Sport Clubs and National Sports Associations are reminded of the International Participation Scheme administered by Sport Malta. The scheme provides financial assistance for participation in international competitions and/or training camps.
Funding under the scheme is provided on a reimbursement basis (i.e., refund basis following participation in the international competition and/or training camp, and subject to submission of the supporting documentation such as valid invoices/receipts and proof of payment), in accordance with the scheme terms and conditions. Malta Paralympic Committee can support Para Athletes (athletes with eligible physical, visual and/or hearing impairments) and the Sport Club with whom they are affiliated with, in applying for assistance under the scheme.
