It's not just a day, it's everyday.
On 3 December, the world celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This annual event aims to celebrate the individual behind the disability, and to champion our fundamental human rights to a dignified and meaningful life, with freedom and equal opportunities.
Estimates show that persons with disabilities represent 15% of the world's population. Today, we remind ourselves of the importance of ending discrimination towards persons with disabilities and to act as a global movement to advocate for disability visibility, accessibility and inclusion.

This year, Malta Paralympic Committee collaborated
with APS Bank - our official partner for our I'mPOSSIBLE Education Programme.
Over the year, APS Bank has supported our Para Sport education and awareness activities, reaching over 25 schools and impacting more than 2,000 students.
Through our collaboration, we produced a video to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities featuring Maltese Para athletes with a positive message to share, with the tagline that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is not just a day, it's everyday.
The video celebrates athletes' abilities, aspirations and common values. Our community is brought together by the Paralympic Values of Equality, Determination, Courage and Inspiration, and we can all play our part in making the world a more inclusive place.
